Prof. Dr. Angus Johnston ist seit August 2026 Senior Wissenschaftler bei der Stiftung Umweltenergierecht und beschäftigt sich mit Fragen des EU-Rechts im Bereich Energie, Klima und Umwelt. Derzeit arbeitet er an Themen zur Reform der EU-Vorschriften für erneuerbare Energien.
Er hat an den Universitäten Oxford (M.A., B.C.L.), Leiden (LL.M.) und Cambridge (Ph.D.) studiert und ist Professor für Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Oxford. Er hat auf dem Gebiet des EU-Rechts und des EU-Energierechts umfangreich publiziert und an zahlreichen Forschungsprojekten und Konferenzen in diesen Bereichen teilgenommen. Außerdem ist er Mitglied der Herausgebergremien des Oxford Journal of Legal Studies und des International & Comparative Law Quarterly.
