Battery storage in grids

Energy storage serves as a flexible option for energy surplus and thus plays a major role in the energy system. Alongside its integration, however, major legal questions arise. This project aims to present the effects on grids due to the use of battery storage. Within the framework of the possibilities with which battery storage systems can be induced to behave in a grid-serving manner, a legal analysis is carried out. Therefore, our experts elaborate on options that are provided by national law and how the further options for action developed in the project can be designed in conformity with European and German law.
